Open tryouts for 2021 - 2022 Mentor Big Red fastpitch teams (9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U) will be held on August 3, 4, and 7 at Mentor High School.
Girls can attend multiple days, but only one is required.
We encourage multi-sport athletes, and work to accommodate all schedules!
9U, 10U, 11U, 12U (birth years 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009)
Tue 8/3 registration/warmups at 5:00, tryouts 5:30-7:00
Wed 8/4 registration/warmups at 5:00, tryouts 5:30-7:00
Sat 8/7 registration/warmups at 11:00, tryouts 11:30-1:00
13U, 14U, 15U, 16U (birth years 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005)
Tue 8/3 registration/warmups at 6:30, tryouts 7:00-8:30
Wed 8/4 registration/warmups at 6:30, tryouts 7:00-8:30
Sat 8/7 registration/warmups at 9:30, tryouts 10:00-11:30

Big Red is a non-profit competitive girls' fastpitch organization sponsored by Mentor Girls Softball League. Teams are ASA and USSSA sanctioned. Coaches are ASA / ACE certified and have passed a background check. Teams practice in Mentor, at outdoor fields and at a year-round indoor training facility.
The mission of Mentor Big Red is to provide a safe, competitive, and fun environment for girls to learn and enjoy the game of fastpitch softball. Our dedicated coaches and volunteers facilitate the growth of our young athletes by promoting integrity, confidence, self-esteem, and sportsmanship.
