My daughter plays middle school softball. Her tram has had a very good season.this year they played 8 games. they ent 5 - 1 - 1 and had a team forfeit before a game because a player got hurt by playing around. They fallow Ohio high school rules and only have 8 teams. The coach said they are done with the season and are not going to playoffs that no team is going. So my question is how is this right? If the top four teams played well why are they not playing in the playoffs?

Most junior high ball ended around 2 weeks ago........What playoffs are you even referring to??? LOL

Ohio High School permits middle school teams to play in 2 scrimmages, 17 games, and 1 tournament (up to 3 games). There is no playoffs for middle school softball? Our middle school teams finished up there season on Thursday May 7th, because most of the girls had to get to travel teams to play in a tournament starting May 8th.

The "forfeit" would actually be a "no contest" under OHSAA rules. They only allow forfeits of games that actually started. If the game never started, it's just like it never happened.
