THANK YOU TO ALL YOU OFC'ers out there that have sent so many wonderful gestures, prayers, condolences, and so much kindness and caring for our Nagel Blue Family in their time of need.

I DID NOT MEAN TO HI-JACK MY OWN THREAD, SO EVERYONE PLEASE FEEL FREE TO KEEP THOSE MIDDLE SCHOOL SCORES COMING IN.

Anyone have scores on the Kings Invitational Championship game from yesterday, Curious who played in it and how it went?

My money would be that Glen Este and Liberty - Silver faced off in the Final. Curious how that went, as that would be 2 good teams with very good pitchers.

The Liberty team was BOTH, the Black and Silver teams combined, although they did have some key players missing as did we due to other sporting commitments. I was hoping Ross, The First Year program might have snuck in there, as that would have been a tremendous accomplishment as we have some friends over there.

Guess we will have to wait and see if anyone wants to claim victory.

A long day was capped by a 9 inning thriller with Lakota Firebird Red (Ridge JH Club) winning their 3rd one run game of the day, 5-4 over Lakota Liberty. A well played game by both teams.

Coincidently, I did work with Dave for a lot of years. He was a special guy as evidenced by the huge turnout on Friday evening. It was great to see the Nagel team in jerseys there as that is exactly how he would have wanted. Know it had to be difficult playing on Saturday.

Congratulations Lakota Firebird Red! Wish we could have been there to see it.

Nice job Lakota Liberty too. Nagel battled all year with "liberty' in which scores of 3/2 eaither way seemed to become the norm.

ANYONE ELSE HAVE RESULTS / FINALS FOR OTHER MIDDLE SCHOOL TOURNEYS?

Middletown - Madison 4
Nagel - Silver 2

Great pitchers duel that took 9 inninngs to complete. Errors in the field cost Nagel big time, but Madison has a VERY good team, top to bottom.

That's my girls. Nice job? I wish I could have been there. Way to go Doug and Bobby. Although I heard Bobby Ward actually coached his first game. What a great first win.
