Midwest All Sanctioned World Series Questions??

I have some questions for teams that were in this event last year. What kind of events did this tournament have for the girls. I know they had a HR durby, fastest runner and stuff like that. Did they have anything else. Like at USSSA they had an area for the girls to dance, limbo, hula hoop competition? Did they have live music or speakers setup? As for the fields did they put up 200 ft fences on each field for games? Or did all the games get played on adult fields? How did the pin trading go? Was there many teams trading? Any input you have please post. Details Details Details please. How did the parade go? We are thinking of attending but want to make sure the girls and parents can have the best time possable.

i thought it was an enjoyable experience pin swap was good most everyone participated had a parade and all the skills competition all fields we played on had temporary fences up cant remember if there was a dance or not if there was we did not attend but good tourny we are going back this year as well as a national because was a great tourny plus so close to home

My 10u team attended last year. We showed up early Thursday morning in time for skills competition. Fastest pitcher, HR derby, Fastest runner, Accurate thrower, Around the horn. There was a bunch of rain the night before causing some delays in the skills comp. Music was playing(Speakers set up) , concessions were open. The parade was well organized with at least 80-100 teams participating. There were NOT temporary fences set up for all of our games. Lots of pin trading. The kids that wanted to trade pins had many options to do so. Overall had a good experience.

14u - 25 teams

Loved this event last year. Very well run. Opening cermonies was great. Competition was very good at 16u. Was a little disapointed when GAPSS moved back to this weekend. Made the tough choice to apply for GAPPS but would have loved to do this again.

It was a lot of fun. I was the guy who almost got leveled pitching at the home run derby. I think we should have the option of soft tossing the ball to the girls. After I was hit it was nothing put inside (way inside) pitches. They were not going to win with me pitching after that. Pin Trading is on thursday at a certain time (I think 5), but the girls started trading way earlier than that. It was a lot of fun, we are doing it again this year.

I heard the tournament director might change this to be a double elimination. Anyone else hear this?
