CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston softball team continues their home stand this weekend. The games were adjusted due to possible inclement weather on Sun., April 7. Minnesota Crookston will take on Minnesota State University Moorhead Fri., April 5 at 2 and 4 p.m. The Golden Eagles will conclude the weekend Sat., April 6 at 1 and 3 p.m., versus Northern State University at the UMC Softball Field.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Point University (22-16; 13-9 AAC) totaled 18 runs and 16 hits offensively and allowed no runs and just six hits in its 8-0 and 10-0 Appalachian Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep against Allen University (10-18; 4-16 AAC) Thursday, April 4, at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park in Columbia, S.C. Senior Ryan Simpson (Valley, AL) pitched a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts in five innings in game one, and junior Allie Beilstein (13-7) allowed four singles and struck out seven in five innings in game two. Coached by Jennifer Tyler (eighth season), Point was rained out at Columbia International University (S.C.), for Friday, April 5, and is scheduled to play two games at Albany State University (Ga.), Wed., April 10, at 3 p.m.

GAFFNEY, S.C. - During a press conference held on Friday, April 5, inside the Rilling Hall of Fame Room, it was announced that Limestone College will depart Conference Carolinas to join the South Atlantic Conference in nearly all of its NCAA sanctioned sports starting with the 2020-2021 academic year. The Saints are currently associate members of the SAC in football only.

Due to field and weather conditions in Mankato and St. Paul, Minn., the games against Minnesota State and Concordia-St. Paul have been moved to Bowden Field.
