I don't think it's bad for someone to come on here and try to offer his take on things. But I think what caused or added to some of the strong reactions to the OP's posts was his insinuation that he was going to talk about "the bad" of certain orgs. I that's when a lot of us really questioned the motivation behind it. Like he was gearing up to grind that axe. I didn't see any teams of orgs called out here so maybe that wasn't his intention. Time will tell I guess.

I have no idea why anyone would ever think I would call out any org on the carpet for being good or bad. Never my intention, of course. The articles are just thoughts of mine that I have seen over the 20 + plus years of softball that I have witnessed as a parent, coach and spectator. Love the game. Enjoyed watching the game over the years and seeing it evolve into what it is today.

Never will I have a comment bashing orgs on this forum. Surely not my style.

From your original post announcing your upcoming articles...

"... Subjects such as the good and bad of each association..."

I took that to mean clubs/orgs but I'm guessing you meant NSA, ASA, etc? If so, then I see where I misinterpreted.

My thoughts are comparing each association ( ASA, USSSA, NSA, etc...) As for Club Organizations, I love each and every one of them. Any coach and/or club org that puts the girls first, you have to respect.

Do you have recent experience with USSSA, ASA, PGF, or NSA? The reason I ask is the structure's and focuses of all these organizations are very fluid. For instance 5 years ago the land scape was completely different in regard to sanctioning bodies than it is today, and it varies greatly from state to state or even region to region within a state so I am curious how you will go about criticism/ praise of these sanctions without real time information. Also the view of these sanctioning depends on each teams goals and level of play. I feel I am pretty current on all these governing bodies as a TD and coach but I will refrain from offering my opinion as it is all subjective to the end user. This topic is really a "there is room for everybody, to each his own" topic. Just curious how that is going to be done without painting with an out dated broad brush.

Guess "Article 2: 12U coaching" isn't going to happen. I was on the edge of my sear at 1pm today waiting on it!
