Coach Tressel...in case you get on OFC...thought I would post this for you, so you don't get into anymore trouble!!

Coaches a reminder of NCAA Bylaw 10.02.1 Sport Wagering, page 49,NCAA Manual,Sports wagering includes placing, accepting or soliciting a wage (on a staff members or student-athletes own behalf or on the behalf of others) of any type with any individual or organization on any intercollegiate, amateur or professional team contest. Examples of sports wagering include, but not limited to, the use of a bookmaker or parlay card; Internet sports wagering; auctions in which bids are placed on teams, individuals or contest; and pools (e.g.,NCAA final-four office pool brackets) or fantasy league in which an entry fee is required and there is an opportunity to win a prize.

Seriously though...my DD just got this from her compliance officer at school...make sure your college athlete is not playing in the basketball pool.

Yep. We do a Rick Neuheisel pool at our school at this time of year, with nothing on the line. As a man who perhaps liked to place a sports bet here and there, the no sports gambling thing is kind of a drag, but I guess it saves me money. I'd actually like nothing better than to be in Vegas this week watching and betting the games.
