Cedar Rapids, Iowa - The 2019 NCAA Division III Softball Championships didn't start as planned for Central, Coe and Wartburg. Central, host of the Pella, Iowa regional fell to Lake Forest 10-1 in the first game while Coe dropped a 3-1 contest to Carthage. Wartburg who opened play on Thursday lost in the their first game, 2-1, to UW-Eau Claire. The Knights bounced back on day 2, picking up a nine inning 6-4 win over Northwestern St. Paul but were later eliminated from the tournament with a 4-3 loss to UW-Eau Claire.
