NORFOLK, Va. – North Carolina Central University freshman outfielder Kendall Smith collected a team-high six hits for the Eagles at the NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic on the way to being named the first MEAC Softball Rookie of the Week for the 2024 season as announced by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
