There is a place in Lima, Ohio called Sports Unlimited. It's a hitting league on Sundays where a live pitcher and catcher throw to live hitters. No fielders. The ump behind the plate calls balls, strikes, and depending on the location of the hit will call a single, double, triple, HR, out, etc. There are six players on a team including the pitcher and catcher, each player bats once per inning and play 5 innings. It's great to hit against live pitching (variety of pitches not just a machine) every weekend in the middle of winter and pitchers get good work against live hitters. The owner, Tim Placie even keeps the girls stats. They have a website. Some brought whole teams from HS and others were individual players and Tim will find a team for them.
