Please make sure to read the survey sent to members leading into the December convention and vote for Rick Sherman in every category that he I listed in. Obviously he will serve the travel community well.

I really think we need more NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaching Association) members in Ohio. If we can get more representatives in the Buckeye state to join the NFCA and on the boards programs will only get stronger. Ohio has as many if not more teams and schools in fastpitch softball as the other states do. The programs within the NFCA are great for coaching and education. The NFCC has the best coarses that every coach should have. Promoting a local Ohio representative is a Plus!Ohio gets my vote as a NFCA member Go get'em Rick

If you care to support me, I have accepted the nomination to have my name listed on a few of the NFCA board member committees pertaining to the travel ball division. This will make my second attempt for the Rules and Ethics committee which is of the most interest to me.

Thank you.

I'm not sure if it's good news or simply end up being a labor of love but I just found out Wednesday that I have been elected to a NFCA subcommittee for college recruitment representing the travel ball class. The first thing I'm trying to pull off is to make time to fly to San Antonio, Texas to make a meeting on Wednesday. Next week is the annual convention there. I had no idea they selected in advance of the convention then expect attendance just 1 week later.

I'm still trying to understand how this happened. I believe they may have misunderstood my willingness to serve on one of the other committees as an act of an overzealous volunteer they could take advantage of. Subcommittee? Does that mean I get to sweep the floor during the meeting and listen in?

Regardless, I will give it my best effort to get a flight there and participate to the best of my ability. I've been to a couple of conventions and they are fun if you're a fan of the sport. The people involved are very nice and the acceptance of the travel ball community has improved over time.

Hey Joe, you going? maybe we can catch a sandwich between meetings.
