We are moving forward with plans to enhance our community and provide our 5-time State Championship softball program with a new state-of-the art, on-campus, softball stadium complex.
This new stadium will be located on 7th Street, adjacent to the Hoover High School football parking lot. This property, currently known as Dogwood Fields, has been recently deeded over to the North Canton City Schools. The Hoover Softball Boosters have worked with the North Canton High School and city administrators to create plans to develop the new softball stadium complex on this site.
This complex will consist of two new fenced fields for Varsity and Junior Varsity play, with dugouts, proper drainage and utilities, scoreboard, fan seating, batting cages, concession stand, rest rooms, and lighting. The 2 other existing fields on this site, plus the new Junior Varsity field will be available for year round community use.
Plans are to break ground in the fall of 2011 to have these fields ready for the 2012 season.
