Field #4 was playing in valleys dug out of the clay and really bad hops on the balls. . .Field #8 OMG did they try to dig some graves with the huge valleys in it. Both fields were like concrete with a dusting of sand. I told the girls was like sliding on sandpaper.

Props to the Spirit for running a nice tourny. . . ran very smooth. Felt like our game with the Tidal Wave was the Championship game. . .Had Ohio Elite, and Tidal Wave in our side of the bracket. . . tough ball all day

Agree on all counts....Thats what happens when you never drag, turnover, or water down the infield.

Congrats to Tropi-gals on winning 16u champrionshiop 5-3 over Ohio Invasion. Great job by girls on both teams.....

Thanks Eric and fanandfun. We are very proud of them, they have been working very hard. Eric you guys fought hard, nothing at all for them to hang their head about. Best of luck at Nationals

The fields..... By far the worst we've played on all season. Hats off to our girls that made the plays they made, because that ball was going all over the place. We always try to support North Coast and they run good tournaments, but I would highly doubt we would be back unless they switch back to Shady. Between the gate fees charged by OSP and the terrible condition of the fields it just isn't worth it.

Thanks "Fan and Fun" and Eric. . .these girls give me everything they have and then dig even deeper. Have a few things to learn on listening to coach on the bases, but my smile is huge when it comes to a scrappy little 13u team competing week-in and week-out with the older girls.

The Chain Reaction (we won 3-1), Madness Black (lost both 2-1), Valley Exteme lost 6-0), Ohio Elite (we won 3-1) team and the Tidal Wave (lost 6-5) have given us some great games so far this season. Thanks for the kudos and best of luck to everyone at their Nationals.

The best kept secret at OSP is the lake that's just beyond the parking lot.

My assistant coach and I allowed ourselves to be baptized (pushed in) by our players after our final bracket game on Sunday, when a team goal that we set on Saturday was fulfilled.

After a couple of hard fought battles on Sunday, it was well worth it.. .

I enjoyed the event. I couldn?t agree more on all accounts read. Fields left allot to be desired. A shout goes out to "fanandfun" for the prop?. Thank you. Trust me when I say we had some concerns prior to our game... We did end up beating the Grand Slam in the finals (5-4). Good team that provided good competition. Those girls can hit the ball. Even though the victory was sweet there was one sour note. Cars were broken into sometime towards the later part of the afternoon. Windows smashed credit cards, money, and other items stolen.

Explosive Black 10u over the Diamond Chix 8-7 in 8 innings. Great game from 2 good teams.

BTW...the fields were terrible, routine grounders were errors due to the hops, home run fences at 300 ft? Gappers that should be doubles turned into HR's? and the admission fee was unjust due to the high cost of the concession stand. $2.75 for a hot dog;&...whoever was running the stand could have retired after this weekend. I hope the venue changes for the Nailbiter. Admission fee should go toward portable HR fences at the correct distances.

Was at Ace`s today between games. Waited 1 hour after we ordered our food. Dont think they were ready for the big rush of softball teams that was there today for lunch.

Saw Lisa Simpson today at the fields. Got to talk with her for a couple of minutes. Havent seen her since the famous 'Tealtown' incident back 2 years ago. Still a very friendly lady.

Food was Ok and the service is terrible. Went there after the Championship game at around 7:00pm and didn't get our food until 9:00pm. We did get 1/2 off the bill though.:)

Two great teams. Now I wish we would have stayed to watch them.

Are you referring to my table??? I've seen you shoot before. Those bumps actually help your game (lol)...

Well...in my case...it's usually due to a lack of "aiming fluid" that makes me look like a rookie. ;&
