10u, 12u, 14u & 16u age brackets
Event is a NSA Class A/B 2013 World Series qualifier for 10u, 12u, 14u & 16u age groups. There will be a 4 game-guarantee weather permitting. We will limit this to 8 teams in all brackets. The preferred format will be 3 pool games and seeding into a single-elimination bracket.
Entry fee is $350 + $25 2012-13 NSA sanction fee. There will be 2 Class A/B berths for the winner and runner-up. The berths can pass if qualified or refused. Teams can take a $50 discount if paid in full by Sept 15, 2012. River City does process credit cards if you would like to take advantage of this discount.
The tournament will be held at the River City Sports Complex in Cincinnati, OH at 5994 Linneman St - Zip Code 45230. Please be aware that there will be an admission fee of $5/day. Players and up to 3 coaches will be admitted free. Also please keep in mind that this is a private facility. Carry-in coolers may be prohibited.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. All SONSA October tournaments are breast cancer fundraisers and will have a portion of the proceeds donated to the Stephanie Spielman fund for Breat Cancer Research. www.spielmanfund.com. We will also be giving out the TPS Replica Pink Bats for individual awards for each age group. We are working on getting "pink" softballs to use for the event and will also have some raffle items with 100% of proceeds being donated. There will be shirts for sale and many other "pink" themed items at the complex.
We will have games that start at 8AM Saturday. All teams are expected to be able to start at this time.
