NSA State at Tealtown-Assistance needed

Tealtown Ballpark in Cincinnati will host the 2007 State Championships. We are very appreciative of the man compliments we received about last years tournament and we also heard the thoughts for improvement.

This year, there will be:

Staked safety bases.
Championship games will be moved to freshly prepared fields.
Additional warm up areas. We have prepared nearly 5 acres of warm area with easy access to fields 1 through 9.
We are looking into temporary fences. ?Any ideas on a good source to buy or rent?
No gift bag exchange.
Friday night will be fun night featuring music, prizes,pin trading and a "Best Team Mom" contest in the main building but also, there will be..........a FREE Home Run Derby. ?Anderson Bats is sponsoring a home run derby by providing a new bat to use for each age group 12U through 18U. Winner keeps the bat and gets an Anderson player pak. We plan on using the 4 lighted fields for the derby and time constraints mean we can only accomodate 1 entry per team.

Here is where we need help....

We have one pitching machine but are hoping to find teams/organizations willing to help with the other fields. Tealtown is a non-profit organization and volunteers should be able to use this as commuinity service hours. It's a lot of work for this many kids and we need help to put this on for the girls.

We are moving the umpire parking to open up Field #16 for parking. We will also open Field #17. Unfortunately, a motorhome partially blocked the entrance last year and repeated promises to move it were not kept. We didn't want to make a fuss so a lot of people were inconvenienced.

We know motorhomes are nice but they take up too much space.

deluca was telling a lot of coaches the state was gonna be held in Bowling Green in 2007 (nwohio). what happened to change the location.

I liked the tent with the mist system. Will you have that again?

Too bad NSA doesn't move the State tournament around the state a bit.

Yes, we will have the misting tent (staked down), Outback trailor, sno kones and trying to get a Bar B Q vendor to set up.

Will you have the photographer? I know some teams didn't get their pictures taken during the tournament. Maybe the photographers should have a few more people taking pictures. I noticed this past year, there seemed to be the same teams pictures on the web.

Iagree parking was horrible last year to get to some of the fields , but you cant complain about the weather !Diamonds need a little more work too!

Photographer information is provided with the registration/coaches packet so teams can be certain to get their photos taken.

I really liked the misting tent. I think more Tournaments should offer one. My players stood in the tent for maybe 5 minutes and I think our body temperature dropped 15 Deg. It really felt good in the 98 Deg. heat.

I like the fences..... , now think about adding extra rest rooms, it can be a long walk from some of the outer fields. If you are allowing RVs, rope off a area for them that gets them out of the way, and put a notice in each team pack.
