NWO Mega spring preview 2008 season

Maumee H.S. in cooperation with Rolf Park, is trying to gauge interest for the 2008 season, to start a MEGA spring preview for high schools using all 8 fields at Rolf Park. This would take place the weekend before the regular season starts each season. We will attempt to turn this into a premier event, and we are seeking local sponsorship. Please post here if you have any interest in possibly participating in what is planned to be an annual event. We feel we can accomodate up to 24 teams, and thus far response has been VERY positive. Greenville High School has hosted such an event for the past 5 years at the Stebbins Field Complex in Greenville.

Over 25 teams will participate from all over Ohio and some from Michigan. Hard to top the field of teams that they bring in every year from the Columbus, Toledo, Dayton, and Cincinnati areas.

Not sure if they would classify thier annual event as a MEGA spring preview or not but I can tell you that the talent that plays there year in and year out is simply excellent.

thanks Rich, we'd certainly try to emulate Greenville, not replace them. [imitation is the most sincerely form of flatery!] we are just looking to do something for the many quality teams from NWO who don't go to Greenville We are trying to gauge interest right now, and so far it's been very positive. Using Rolf Park's premier fields without having to travel, will hopefully appeal to some. We may even consider the first year letting teams bring their JV teams to compete against other JV teams.
