I don't imagine we will get many games in today or tomorrow, but you never know. Post scores for this week once you have them so we can see what NWO teams are up to for this week.

Whitmer, Southview, SUA and Central Catholic all played well this weekend at the SUA tournament at CYO and proudly represented NWO.

In the cold, in the rain, CCHS played Scott HS today. CCHS 12, Scott 0 in 5 innings....lots of left base early outs to try to get the game in between downpours.

Ok I was going to let this go, but let me give you a little back ground on Libbey. Just as a point of reference, Whitmer beat Scott 20 something to nothing, we walked kids off base trying to not make it look obvious as early as the the 2nd inning, the umps were not always paying attention for some reason and would not always call it. Our catcher told our pitcher, just throw it down the middle so they can put the ball in play and we can get out of here faster.

Scott Beat Libbey 22-0. Notre Dame could beat Libbey by 60 runs if they wanted to, I am sure they were walking girls off of base early. Its a fine line in sportsmanship IMO, Libbey deserves respect as a team of girls playing the game yet you try not to run up the score on them. In years past Libbey's coach would say once you score 20 runs I am calling the game. I dont envy a coach having to figure out how to balance sportsmanship, keep your girls focused and not running up the score. This is just IMO.

Now in the past teams did not call the Libbey score in, why this one was called in is beyond me, who knows maybe Libbey's coach called the score in. NDA hasnt called a score in all year, including a 8-0 win over Start was never in the paper.

I just wanted to give some background on Libbey before everybody jumps on NDA and their coaches.

Now if after hearing all that, the score still bothers you then so be it lol, just wanted to give the other side of the story :)

First let me say the score was 33 to 3...like uber said not that that matters...
Second I do NOT believe NDA called that score in ...As uber said NONE of NDA`s scores have been called in at ALL....Except Sua game and they called it in....
I was not at game because of work but from what I heard NDA left bases early for all 3 outs in the first inning and scored 12 runs before and out was recorded I also heard that Libbey was excited because it was 12 to 3 after the 2nd inning and it starting pouring down rain and the umps wanted to call the game and both teams (including Libbey) said NO we wanted to keep playin...
As I said I was not there and was a little upset myself that this was the first score I saw with NDA on winning said in paper....
I also know for a fact that the HC is not worried about making a statement she has a couple other issues to worry about and putting up 33 was NOT in her adjenda...JMHO

I agree with Uber on this one. Also, I am not affiliated with NDA but do respect their program and coaches. Unfortunately, I have witnessed many City League games decided by 30 runs over the years. I have seen and heard of JV City League games decided by 30, 40, or even 50 runs! Nobody wants a game like that but sometimes there isn't too much you can do about it (although I'm guessing 50 runs could have been prevented) . If anyone has any specific examples of what Notre Dame did that was out of line, please let us know. I didn't see anyone jumping on the Scott or Rogers coaches when these scores were posted earlier this year: Scott 21, Libbey 1 and Rogers 30, Libbey 5.
