I'm in the restaurant business. I wear many hats where I work. I waitress, manage, train, do administrative stuff, socalize, relay things to the big corporate boss that my immediate supervisor can't seem to find the nerve to say to his face, etc. It feeds my shopping habit & keeps a high tech bat in dd's bag. I work when I want & take off when I want & it's no big deal.

masonite, I am an English teacher as well. I think our principals would have a much easier time believing that we are researching the use (or lack there of) of proper grammar in American electronic communication.

Coach T -- you are probably right. I had no idea, for instance, that "congratulations" had a "d" in it, or the adverb from "probable" is spelled "probally." But it's funny how careful you have to be with your own spelling and grammar. My students get on my case when they catch mistakes in my assignments, etc.

Lady Knights -- bad luck!!! Hang in there . . .

Kind Sir---Pray, tell us more of this hamlet Bugtussle of which you speak.

We hear 'tis a mythic land of horseless carriages, indoor plumbing and soon to be wired for cable.

Are there yet any dragons or trolls ?to be slain? ?It sounds a most wondrous place.

(sorry, I'm home with a cold---it's the NyQuil talking) :D

Management Consultant.

I negotiate labor contracts on behalf of my clients (mostly public sector employers), provide human relations and employment advice, and write personnel policies, including those policies that prohibit personal use of employers' computers during work hours and prohibit the abuse of sick leave for attending softball games.

Sorry! Don't shoot the messenger. What is that old adage -- "do as I say, not as I do?"

katjoebenmom: Believe it or not, I never saw the taser thing on the news. I heard about it, but never saw it, so I don't have an opinion on it.
I also have a cold right now. It seems a lot of people have one now.

Coach R: You could return after next year as a coach! I'll finally let you coach now that your daughter will be gone. You better win every single game, though, or you'll be out on your rear end.

You've never heard of Bugtussle? Well slap my britches. I guess I will have to fill you in. Here are two links to previous threads that tell you about Bugtussle - maybe more than you want to know.
