to explain a bit on why the reference to the Wild thangs on page two-- i was in a position a few short years where alot of you guys are now --a 11u parent just getting exposed to the travel ball scene . We (Scioto Co Wild Thangs ) had a dang good group , the 11-12u team was very good but the 10u team was dynamite. So were beating up on the local competition from around here (chillicothe-portsmouth-huntington wv area) pretty well.

So I discovered OFC and started hyping our team a bit. Needless to say that brought about more than one shark. LOL Made the MISTAKE of sticking my nose in Laser Nation's business ! LOL

wild thang 12u's won 4 tournies that year (inc sluggerfest) and the 10'u went something like 30-40 wins , 5-6 loses, made in to the semi's of the 10u ASA states. Led by one Lasers Black's current pitchers. very good times back then. MD

The Wild Thangs was a very, very good ballclub. Seen them in Action. Boy, could those girls play.

In 2007 my DD was 10u with the Doom. I remember the Wild Thangs. I was most impressed with their base running. VERY aggressive and well disciplined. Solid team all around.

Hey Dan, do you remember a team which would have been 10U back in 2006 that went by the name "WV Wild 1's"? We saw them only once at an indoor tourney (Thunderplex) up in the Youngstown area during the 2005/2006 winter season.

Now phil, from all stuff posted on OFC, we all know that rise balls don't rise, so why link it, but there are 10u girls that can throw 55 mph.........I've seen it....:)

I think once we get the New OFC up and running. The Old Timers and Newbie will find it much easy to find old post with a wealth of Info. It will be some time before we get ready to change over to the new format and allot of work but it will be well worth it to all.

God Bless

Ricky - is there a mobile format option that works well with Android mobile? I have seen a few sites appearing that have a "mobile specific" format option. I can view the forum, and the text will format (wrap) to fit the screen, but it's a lot of scrolling to find links, etc. Thanks!
