WHO WE ARE:
The Ohio All Americans is a 14U team based in Central Ohio that will be professional coached and play a very competitive schedule. Chris Carden, who has coached and instructed for over 20 years, will be the head coach of the All Americans for the 2018-19 season. Chris brings with him a wealth of experience both on and off the field and will be focused on player and team development (www.grandslaminfo.com/about-us/staff/49/chris-carden/). Chris will be assisted by Melissa Wright-Rodgers, as the team pitching coach (www.grandslaminfo.com/about-us/staff/56/melissa-wrightrodgers/). Melissa is a former college All-American softball player and current instructor and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and a great ability to mentor players. The team will be aligned with Mannino’s Grand Slam training facility for training and to supplement our on-field work.
We are looking for dedicated, hard-working and competitive players who want to take to their game to the next level. As a new team this year, all positions are open and we plan to have 3 pitchers on the roster.
PATH FORWARD:
We will have a full schedule with practice and games in the fall, practices through the winter and spring and practices and games in the summer. Plan will include tournaments and/or friendlies in the fall and 6 to 8 tournaments in the summer along with a 1 night a week league. Our intent is to play very competitive tournaments in and around central Ohio along with 1 or 2 tournaments that will require an overnight stay.
Remaining Tryouts
Private Tryouts thru Saturday - "Be an All American" - where every practice is like a private lesson with professional instructors.
Private/small group tryouts will be held at Mannino's Grand Slam in Dublin on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - starting at 4pm. Saturday sessions are available but need to be scheduled.
Looking for one more pitcher and a middle infielder with power.
