ASA Tournament Ohio Blast 1st Annual ASA Eastern Qualifier May 22-23

TOURNAMENT CANCELLED DUE TO COST OF COMPLEX.

Ohio Blast will be hosting its first qualifying tournament the weekend of May 22 & 23 for 10u, 12u, and 14u teams in New Middletown, OH at Springfield Local Schools (11335 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road; New Middletown, OH 44442). This location is approximately 1/2 way between Trumbull County, OH and Beaver County, PA. The site has 5 fields and is very well maintained. The concession stand is pretty awesome as well with a covered pavillion, picnic tables, etc. There will be no Friday games. Cost is $375 per team ($350 per team if the same organization brings 3 or more teams). For more information, please visit Ohio Blast's website at www.ohioblast.com.

I will call Warren Jones today and find out. Also this may be our first tournament but we are not new to hosting them. I've been involved in Poland Pride tourney for years including TD. If anyone can give me names and numbers to some vendors (shirts, helmet painting, snow-cones, etc) I would appreciate it. I lost everything when my computer crashed a few months back. Coaches you will not be disappointed; I know some of you are just looking for new/different place to go. We will pull form Ohio and PA; we are right near the border.

Good Morning Softball World!!

Our tournament is on May 21-23; please visit our web-site www.ohioblast.com to print out an entry form. We have four fields (two with lights) located at Springfield Local Sports School Complex (Springfield Highschool) 11335 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road (Route 170) New Middletown, Ohio 44442. There is a concessions stand with attached pavilion (picnic tables), and attached restrooms. A ton a parking enough room for RV's. Give us a try, this is our first tournament but all of us have been involved or directed tournaments, so this is not the first time for us in that aspect. We are looking for a clothing vendor, helmet painting, and any other's we can get. We will keep you posted with who has signed up on a weekly basis.

We are showing interest at this point. We were not (until now) agressively seeking teams until we were satisfied with the agreement with the complex for the tournament. We wll keep all updated as we get teams in.

Tournament is CANCELLED. I will notify the two teams that I received payments on (Cyclones and Maddogs). Sorry for any inconvenience. We didn't want to give it too much more time because these teams (and other teams that considered this tournament) need time to find another tournament for that week. We'll try again next year.
