The Ohio Classics 96 18U team is looking for four players with an emphasis on a catcher, a shortstop, an outfielder and another position player. A slapper will get special attention! We will have an open tryout on Wednesday, August 6 at 6:30pm at Pickerington Central HS. If you cannot make that tryout, we can arrange for a private tryout. Players do not have to be born in 1996, we have several 1997 and a 1998 on the roster currently.
This team has been highly competitive for its 9 year history and we plan to be at our peak in 2015. The team won the Explosive ASA/USA Qualifier, finished second at the Dayton Metro ASA/USA qualifier and recently placed third at the Ohio Stingrays Showcase and GAPSS. We will be playing a similar schedule as we played this past year which included the Stingrays Showcase and a couple of friendlies in the fall and for the summer we plan to play at some combination of Dayton Metro, Lasers, ASA States, Best of the Best, Stingrays and Loudonville and nationals in Spartanburg, SC.
