Ohio Glory 01 is currently looking to add a couple pieces to an already strong group of girls. Ohio Glory is Ohio based with girls from all parts of Ohio.Glory is a very competitive team who will teach the players the fundamentals of softball and have fun all while playing top tier competition. Last year year the girls competed at several fall tournaments as well as Spano Dome, Batters Box , Dayton Metro, Columbus Firefighters, Lasers, Orrville and finishing at the USSSA Worlds in Orlando, Florida. Ohio Glory also has there own indoor winter training facility to prepare the girls for the season.

Glory is looking to add a pitcher, and couple good bats to take this team to the next level. If you have any questions or for a private tryout please feel free to contact us.

This will be my fifth year coaching this team and sixth year coaching travel softball. I was told a few years ago a quote that is something along the lines of "if you build it they will come". The point he was trying to make was that building an elite level team would take a few years. However, once your team starts to show success at higher level tournaments, then the elite players will want to come play on your team.
Ohio Glory '01 had a very successful season playing in some of the area's toughest tournaments. We are only looking for a couple elite level players to help us continue that success next year. Our primary goals for the team will be:
To create and maintain an air of discipline, accountability, competitiveness, teamwork, academic excellence, and maturity to produce the best well-rounded student athletes possible
To ensure the players are ready and trained to compete at the highest level showcase tournaments
To succeed as a team in these high level tournaments
To help the players achieve their goal of playing collegiate softball by working with each family to help promote that player to college coaches and requiring the same of them
If this fits your vision for your daughter, then please contact me for a private tryout or come to one of our open tryouts (Thursday August 6th 6-8:30 or Saturday August 8th, 3-5 @ Diley Rd Fields 8995 Diley Rd Pickerington).
Feel free to call or text me with any questions at all. I am one of the owners of Field of Dreams indoor facility in Lancaster, which is where our team practices all winter and during inclement weather. Owning an indoor facility has been and will be an unbelievable asset to our team.

Thanks, Don. Yes it is true that the team showed tremendous growth this past year. I owe all of the credit to the players, their parents and the assistant coaches. They are all so committed to the success of the team and they put hours of hard work into making themselves better throughout the entire year.
These are the types of players and families we seek. No drama please.

An announcement for all players considering attending the Ohio Glory tryouts this Thursday....if we have inclement weather, the tryout will STILL take place. However we will move the location to Field of Dreams in Lancaster (731 Slocum St).
To provide the most amount of visibility and parking space, all Glory coaches will be asking any former players to NOT attend this tryout (If it is at FOD). We know how they can play. ;)
This decision will be made at 12:00 noon on Thursday and will be posted on the main Ohio Glory tryout post!!
To avoid any inconveniences and to prevent you from wasting time and gas, we are asking all potential candidates to please view our tryout post after 12 in Thursday.
We live in Ohio and we know that we can't control the weather, so we do our best to roll with the punches. Ohio Glory is fortunate that two of our coaches are the owners of Field of Dreams and they offered the use of the facility for this tryout, if needed.

Final note-IF the tryout is moved to Field of Dreams, please bring tennis shoes. NO CLEATS on the turf.
Will advise Thursday at 12:00

We have decided that tonight's tryout will be moved to Field of Dreams in Lancaster. Please be advised that FOD is a NO CLEATS facility and that players will be required to wear tennis shoes or go in their socks. :)
Address is 731 Slocum St., Lancaster OH 43130. Located just southwest of the intersection of Fair Ave & Memorial Dr (SR33). Go west on Fair Ave about 1/4 mile and turn left onto Slocum St (at the Dairy Queen). FOD is 2 blocks south, on the right.
Please arrive by 5:30 for registration and to warm-up.
Thank you.
