I'M STILL LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO HOST A 4-TEAM FRIENDLY IN THE WESTERVILLE/GAHANNA AREA ON 9/29. HAVE 3 TEAMS COMMITTED, JUST NEED A HOST & LOCATION.....
Ohio Glory is hosting a friendly tournament Saturday, Sept 15th for 11 & 12U teams. 3 games at 1:15 each. NSA rules. Umpires will be provided. $60 per team entry fee and 100% of that entry fee goes for the umpires. Nobody is profiting from this.
4 fields will be used. Game times are: (yes, we get to sleep in!!!!) 12:00, 1:30, & 3:00 PM.
Teams committed so far are:
1. Ohio Glory '00-Holbrook
2. Ohio Hawks 12U
3. Ohio Stingrays '01
4. HOH Fear Factor
5. Ohio Glory '01
6. Vipers '01
7. Extreme '01
8. Pride '00
We will only take 8 teams! Teams will be pooled into two-4 team friendlies with a 3 game round robin within that pool. Winner of the pool goes home knowing they won their pool. All 4 teams in each pool go home knowing what they are doing well, what needs work, etc. This is a great way to get prepared for the fall tournaments.
Marten's Park will be the host site for these friendlies, and is the location where many large tournaments were held this past Summer, including the NSA A/B State Tournament.
We have a great crew of NSA umpires who will be tapped into for these friendlies; the same umpires you will see at tournaments locally as well as Berliner and all over central Ohio.
Excellent facilities and hopefully the weather cooperates so we can have a great day of softball.
To secure that 8th spot, you should call or text Chris Zaker at 740-503-7563 ASAP. I expect this final slot to be filled today.
