Tit for tat, coaches. If you open this thread & bump it for me, I will promise reciprocity.

While I have your attention....anyone interested in specifically trying out for the 12U ('01) team you may contact me directly. My phone # is 740-503-7563. e-mail is czaker@glasfloss.com.
This upcoming year will be my 4th year in travel softball, 3rd year with Ohio Glory '01. You could actually say 4th since I earned two years of travel ball experience this past season by coaching both the Ohio Glory '01 & '03 teams. I have earned the grey hairs to prove it. Next year I will only be coaching the '01 team. We are looking for a few solid athletes. Since this season still isn't over, I can't determine exactly what we will be needing. All positions will be considered.
We anticipate playing a very aggressive and tough schedule next season to challenge these girls to the highest level.
We certainly will play in at least 2 tournaments this fall, at least 2 indoor tournaments this winter (Spano Dome, G-Plex) and will be working out indoors starting in January at an excellent indoor training location in Lancaster. This is an opportunity to join a team that will be doing great things next year and turning a lot of heads!

If you are interesting in a private or small group tryout, please feel free to contact me directly as I understand most teams in this area have tryouts on the weekends.

It is our pleasure to announce that Ohio Glory will be adding another '98 team with Matt and Jami Pope as the co-head coaches. Jami & Matt both bring a wealth of experience coaching travel ball for higher level softball teams as well as a Jr. High school team. This team ('98) brings a tremendous amount of success fromthis past year as well. They were the #1 or 2 seed in almost every tournament in which they played, won two tournament championships last year, earned national bids in two separate sanctions, and in general they played late on every Sunday! They are a forced to be reckoned with and are a welcome addition to the Ohio Glory organization. Their contact information has been added to the first post. This team will be based out of the Mt. Vernon area.
Welcome Jami & Matt to Ohio Glory!

It is our pleasure to announce that Ryan Alford has been officially named as the head coach for Ohio Glory '02 team for the 2013-2014 season. Ryan is very good with the girls and is able to get the best out of them without degrading them or being negative, which as you know is something that many parents dislike in a coach. He is experienced at coaching travel softball and your daughter cannot go wrong with him as her coach. You may contact him directly with questions about the needs or plans for the Ohio Glory '02 team, which is looking to be a pretty good team for this upcoming year!
Ryan's contact information has been added to the main post.

It is our pleasure to announce that Ohio Glory is adding another '00 team to the organization with Amie Ludwig as the head coach. Amie comes to Ohio Glory with a many years of travel ball coaching AND playing experience. A former college player herself, Amy has "been there & done that"! She is a lifelong advocate of the game, a caring coach and it is absolutely wonderful to watch her interact with her players. I have coached against Amie on several occasions, and I will stack her up there with the best of the player motivators I have ever met. I have personally witnessed her going into a dugout to congratulate and motivate the players on opposing teams! She coaches for the right reason-for the girls! She will certainly help your daughter reach her full potential. Amie has coached oufield and hitting at her alma mater (Highline University in Washington) for two years and was also the interim head coach there during a transitional period. In addition to that, Amie has been the assistant coach for Ohio University, Lancaster for the last 4 years, so she has a lot of coaching experience at the collegiate level. This enables her to teach the the girls what they need to know to be recruited for and to play at that level! This is a beneift that most of us coaches cannot truly bring to our players!

You may contact Amy with questions about needs or plans for her '00 team. Amy's contact information has been added to the main post.
Welcome to Ohio Glory, Amie!!!

Ohio Glory 97 has enjoyed a successful 2012-2013 season that saw the team play deep into Sundays most weekends. Ohio Glory 97 qualified and attended the NSA World Series that was held in Williamsburg VA.
We plan on participating in at least one fall tournament and will be looking to play some fall ball & friendlies this fall. We plan on playing in 7 ? 8 tournaments next summer.
We will be getting together thru the winter to practice and attend some collegiate clinics.

Contact Coach Jeff Freeman with questions regarding team needs and scheduling a private tryout at 740-475-9073 or jefffreeman221@gmail.com & J221@roadrunner.com .

For those looking for an organization that prepares you DD to play at the next level, Ohio Glory is a great start. Don Holbrook has been instrumental in teaching my daughter "the game"! Don has the passion and compassion to teach kids. I truely feel my daughter became the player she is because Of Don Holbrook believing in her, inspiring her, and teaching her the things she needed to know as a player and as a catcher. SO,,,,,,, if your looking for a group to handle a player the way a player needs handled,,,,,,I say Ohio Glory is a damn good place to start.... Thanks Don Holbrook!!!!

I will add to that. I have seen Don work with his girls for the past 4 years. He brings the best out of them through his undying passion for the game. As a coach within this organization myself, I strive to emulate that passion for the game.
This quality is the backbone of the Ohio Glory coaching staff from top to bottom!

I want to make it clear that ALL players are welcome to our open tryouts. All young girls should be given the opportunity to go through the tryout process. Even if you plan to play for another organization you are welcome to this tryout to see what we are about and how we do things. I am looking forward to seeing a good crop of 12 year old players this Saturday!

Is there any information on the 9U team? How many players are they looking for, specific needs on position? What will their practice and tournament schedule look like? Thanks.

The 9u team has a core of 5-6 girls already. Of coarse the goal of try outs will be to secure pitching. They have a solid infield and a strong catcher. Their schedule for next year will be a full one. At least one fall tourney, one indoor and 8-9 summer tournaments. This is an exciting bunch to watch play. ALOT of strong young talent!
