We are looking for a difference making pitcher to join the team. We are playing a demanding schedule starting in June continuing thru mid Jan with trips to Colorado, twice to Atlanta, twice to Florida. In the fall we have college team camps set-up between our showcase events. Last year we went to 12 college team camps that involved playing other top travel teams with the college staff participating. Additionally, each player is expected to attend 6-8 camps on their own. Knowing we will play close to 100 games we have decided to offer a spot to another pitcher.

We are looking for an pitcher that works on her game, is comfortable pitching at a high level of travel ball and whose family supports her goals and can financially enable her to travel. She must have a strong desire to play collegiate level softball and be an established strong pitcher. Our team has around 60 colleges that are looking at our players and our players are actively contacting and visiting. Player can be a 99, 98 or 97 birth year. Prefer '99 or '98 - as the team is mainly 98 players, with 1 99.

Our Roster is here: CLICK HERE FOR OUR ROSTER

All players must be committed to playing college softball, maintain a 3.00 or higher GPA, and do weekly recruiting assignments/contacts on their own.

We have a tough schedule (see below) - here are the tournaments that we have been accepted into thus far. I listed our 2013 fall schedule as well - which we will be repeating.

Each player, while a member of the team, gets their own Ohio Hawks email account to use for managing their recruiting and contacts. We have recruiting tasks each week and each player is responsible for making 3-5 contacts every week, maintain their player profile and recruiting page on Facebook. For an example - see www.facebook.com/rebekahlenos

Our team recruiting site is www.facebook.com\OhioHawksLenos

If interested - please PM or email me, Doug Lenos, at CoachDoug@ohiohawks.com with the players background, position, etc. I will set up a conf call with myself and Coach Sean Jones to discuss the opportunity with your and your daughter.

Thanks,
Doug

Re: Ohio Hawks 16u Lenos - Pitcher Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for a Pitcher who wants to go to College to play softball. I have a daughter on this team and I also have a daughter who is a D1 freshman pitcher at Ball State. I have travelled down this road once with my older daughter and I am now doing this with my 99 daughter. This is the road to take if you want to play in College. You must play a competetive schedule to get recruited. Coach Lenos has expanded his contacts to outside of Ohio to get his players recruited. This is a great opportunity for the right Pitcher all of the girls on this team are focused and College driven.

Re: Ohio Hawks 16u Lenos - Pitcher Opportunity

If you are looking for a pipeline to college softball, this is it. This group of girls have committed their life's work to the sport of fastpitch softball. Add that to some of the top coaching, I have known Doug Lenos for six years . I have participated in many of his practices and coached right next to him. He is a constant student of the game. I can tell you that one of his strongest traits is the power to do the little things right. He has been able to set in creditably high goals and reach them by breaking them down in to a lot of smaller one's in order to reach the higher goals. His focus to detail is spot on. He will go the extra mile for your daughter to assure her success. Add that to you and your daughter's commitment and you are sure t have a winning match.

Update: During the summer this pitcher will be 1 of 2 full time pitchers on the mound for us, splitting time. In the fall we will be adding a third pitcher back into the rotation.
