16U Ohio ICE Gray Team
Coaches Eddie Chevalier and Keith McFarland
Eddie Chevalier comes with 7 years of experience with the Ohio ICE and Wolfpack. Keith McFarland has been coaching softball in some capacity for nearly 10 years.
Keith and Eddie's first year 16U team had a successful run this year. We played our games at 16U-18U during the 2016-17 season. Starting in the fall we played in the Lasers Green 5 game friendly with 16s and and 18s and went 3-2. The team played in the 16U Best of the Best Fall showcase for the second year and did well going 4-0-1. We tied for 3rd place at the 16U and 18U Spano Dome tournaments during the winter. We played in a condensed ASA States in Findlay and went 4-2. The Summer Best of the Best the ICE Gray went 4-1. Our team played in the Stingrays summer showcase for the 5th year and went 2-2-1. We played in the PGF Outlaws Summer tournament and place 3rd out of 30 teams.
The 2017 Ohio ICE Gray had a successful run in 2017 summer, our season highlights include: Key victories over ESO 16U Howser 2x (lost 2x). Ice Gray beat Wolfpack Dudek (lost also) Ice beat OFC Orton (lost also) Ice Gray beat Explosives Elite 16U. Ice Gray beat Emeralds 01 (lost 2x) ICE Gray split with Emeralds 00. ICE Gray beat Hawks GOLD Lenos 16U. ICE Gray beat Team Ohio Red 18U. ICE Gray beat Outlaws Latess. These are the teams we competed against weekly in Lasers, Shear Madness, ASA States, Best of the Best, Stingrays, Outlaws Tourneys.
We will play in 2-3 fall events. One will be the Stingrays College Showcase which we have been invited to already.
We will play Spano 16U and 18U in the winter in Akron.
WE RAN A TIGHT BUDGET WITH LOW FEES and ZERO FUNDRAISERS!!!!
We incorporate Jaeger Sports Arm strengthening and velocity enhancement program. Using long toss, medicine balls and arm action improvements our gals gained 7-9 MPH in overhand throwing. We used Monica Abbott part of the Jaeger Sports program for pitchers underhand throwing. Our gals had zero arm injuries through their high school seasons and travel ball.

We practice at Sauder Field in Jackson Township(Canton) and the Hall of Fame Fitness Center also in Canton. We will be practicing thru the winter at the Hall of Fame and sometimes the Spano. We have access to a live simulation hitting machine that we will use extensively.
