Ohio Ice White will be having tryouts for the 2016-2017 season on Wednesday, August 10th from 5-7pm at the Spano Dome, 2565 Pressler Road, Akron, OH 44312.
We will be having additional tryouts at later dates, or by appointment, as needed. We are looking forward to finding some very talented young ladies to play for Ohio Ice White for the upcoming season. I HAVE NO CHILD ON THE TEAM which means there will be no daddy ball. We will attempt to have some fund raisers this year to help offset some of the cost. Fundraising ideas will be discussed with the team parents at the start of the season. Our expectation is to play 12 to 15 tournaments this year. We will play some in the fall, indoor in the winter and outdoor next spring/summer. Every year my expecation is that our team will be a very competitive team, if not the #1 ranked team in the state of Ohio.
This year we plan to start practicing in September at my home field in Canton, OH. We will play in a few fall tournaments in October and then move to the Spano Dome in November for practice. We will continue to work hard through the winter and try to have one fielding practice and one hitting practice every week, play at least 2 indoor tournaments, including the best indoor tournament in Ohio at the Spano Dome, and we will have many scrimmages. Come spring/summer we will look to play in the top tournaments in Ohio.
Once the spring/summer season starts in May we will plan to practice 1 time a week, about 8 to 10 practices, at my home field in Canton, OH.
