Ohio Power 14u tryouts

The Ohio Power 14u will hold tryouts for the summer 2017 season on Sat/Sun July 30th and 31st from 10am until noon at the Powehouse. We will move inside if weather dictates. We core and speed train in the winter and will have a paid hitting instructor work with team.

How many players are you looking for? Is there an 13 & 14U team or 1 combined team?

We have a number of girls that age out who were great leaders this year. Combined 13 and 14 are fine with us. Just looking for athletes that like to get after it. Need a catcher. We like to carry two and split time evenly. Would also like a number 1 pitcher. Need a strong middle infielder as well.

So just to be clear, Ohio Power plays games only in the summer tournament season? Not in the fall. And not in the winter/later winter-spring(i.e spano, pinnacle)...correct?

Coach Appel is an excellent coach. Great instruction, motivation, and work ethic. My daughter is one of 2 girls moving to 16u, but the girls remaining are excellent athletes with a TON of speed. They are finishing up a successful year and should only get better as an older 14u team in 2016/2017.

We played one fall tournament last year and then played our first tournament after the high school season. Played 7 summer tournaments. In my previous life of year round tournaments, the elite players were burned out later in their HS careers.
