If you want to know a bit about what this Ohio Power team is all about, below is a message sent from one of our player's parents this morning. Surely everyone always feels better after a championship win but there is more to it than winning. We had a catcher taken off the field on a stretcher after hitting her head on the dugout steps diving for a ball in the semi. She came back with stitches and a neck brace to cheer and inspire her teamates in the championship. The complete game win was pitched by a kid who had not pitched much lately but who gutted out 8 full innings in game 4 on a swealtering hot day. The game winning hit was made by a player who was on crutches the day before and had not played all weekend. We are truly blessed with great kids, great parents and great coaches. Gotta love this game for so many reasons. If you are committed to a team for this season, please keep us in mind when tryouts come around.....

"Hi All,

I just wanted to send a shout out as I can't stop thinking about this past weekend. Like all of you I have witnessed a lot of softball and have seen thousands of teams interact with each other. Maybe I am weird in that I watch how teams play together and how they play for their coaches. I watch and can tell who and what the girls are playing for - are they playing for themselves or their team - are they playing because they "think" they are good or are they simply playing because they love this crazy game with all their heart.
Well I think we can all agree we have an amazing group of kids who came together yesterday and played for each other, played with all their hearts and left it all on the field - pain, blood, sweat, tears, and pure exhaustion but most importantly some ESPN highlight worthy plays and I what I love even more-lots of smiles.! I am truly proud to be part of this team and to have my daughter play with this group of not just outstanding athletes but incredible people."
