Ohio Wave 10U / 12U Indoor Scrimmages in December

We've had a few teams ask about if we are having the indoor scrimmages at The Academy again this year. We'll have a 10U session on Dec. 13th and a 12U session on Dec. 20th. We'll only take four teams.

• Each team will play three games.
• Each team will also be scheduled for 1 hour of exclusive use of the batting cage and hitting stations for ONLY your team to work out.
• Cost will only be $80.
• We have plenty of seating and a concession area for snacks and drinks.

These were popular last year because they are very cost effective and offer a stress-free atmosphere where you can teach while you play. You can not beat that value for a days worth of practice and cage use.

Three games @ 1:15 + 1 hour of batting cage time. Sounds like a bargin at about $16 / hour for the use of an indoor facility.

We need to move the 12U date up to the 6th of December due to a conflict with Dave Paetkau coming in on the 20th. I'll PM everybody and see who is in and who is out.

I would Lke to thank the Wave organazation for putting this event together. The 12U LunaChix had a great time, and learned a great deal about indoor ball. Mike also did a great job of making us feel welcome. Even after I had a boo boo with their pitching machine. Mike, I am very sorry i did that. Looking forward on playing the 12U wave team again. They are very solid.

Unfortunately we are postponing the 10U scrimmages this coming weekend. We'll try the 10s again in January. We just need to flush out the little ones. I just wonder if most 10U coaches are new to travel ball and are not yet tied to the virtual-crack that is the OFC and unaware of these things.


BTW...Thanks to the teams(Buckeye Blast, LunaChix) that came out this past weekend. It helps break up the winter doldrums.
