You are sent 2 copies of your NLI. You sign and send one back the other is yours. That is where the ceremonial signing comes in
Right, good point!... I was trying to reference the non-NLI signings or "letter of commitment" signings you see some D3 programs do for their kids since there is no official NLI to sign at that level. cork34 had asked if in a D2 or D1 program you would get to sign an NLI if no money was offered. Although there would be no NLI, I was questioning whether or not a D1 or D2 program would let a PWO sign a "letter of commitment" ... my guess is no, which is sad. Still a tremendous honor to play at a D1 or D2 level as a PWO or otherwise.
