IOC President Thomas Bach says the time for change is now.

IOC President ask the world's national Olympic committees on Friday to support his reform program.

He wants changes to the bidding process, sports program and measures put in place to reduce the costs of Country that host future Olympic Games.

Forty recommendations were approved last month and will be put to a vote at a IOC session in Monaco on Dec. 8-9.

ESPN, ESPN2 the Sports Net Work and 100's of other sports channels.

Can you say Olympic television channel. Yes the right.

One big problems, $51 billion dollars. That the cost now for country that host the Olympics.

Several cities dropped out of the bidding process for 2022, I'm sure I can show you $51 billion reason why.

More flexible Olympic sports, removing restrictions on the number of sports. That could lead to baseball and softball being included at the 2020 Tokyo Games.

I would love to see both in the games. I'm afraid since the Stars & Stripes would be seen as dominant (especially in Softball) the committee will keep them off the list. The rest of the world is sick of us dominating, whether true or just perceived to be true. Real shame because the rest of the world is never afraid to put an open hand out to us when they have a crisis on their hands. 2020 would be perfect for my daughter, give them time to work out the kinks. She'll be graduating with honors first team All Pac 12 in May of '26. She says Oregon, the wife and I say Stanford! :p

They want to reduce costs, and where do they have their meeting???? cheapest place on earth , Monaco. shows just how serious they are.
time is just about up for the ioc and the way they do business. no country can afford that kind of fee....
but it would be cool to see both back in the olympics. no more country favoritism than things like the biathalon....
