I know 4 or 5 members of our family signed the petition at the USSSA "A" World Series in Columbus, Indiana. They also had petitions at ASA in Johnson City, Tenn. I hope the movement continues to gain steam on into the Fall Softball season!!!

It would be nice is all of the high school's state coaches association be a part of this petition drive. I know I will mention in the in the next Central District Meeting.

Does anyone know of a central organization that is driving this petition so I can procure some blank petitions?

Thank you to everyone who is signing the petition, sending notes, etc. My DD was so into the Olympic Softball Games that she would get up at 4:30 - 5:00 a.m. to watch a game. She also interrupted a major meeting to let me know that the USA Team just took the gold!!! Everyone in the room laughed and was excited for her.

She is devastated that it's being eliminated. She has asked me if she could write a letter to the President of the Olympics and tell him how much watching all of the teams in the world playing is a fascinating mixture of knowledge and passion. It fascinates her that teams that can't speak English can still communicate with the USA team because they have something in common.

Please encourage your DD's to write as well. The more young girls that speak up the more likely it is that someone will listen.
