OT: Cleveland Browns

As a Lions fan, I need a #2 team. I have been enjoying watching the Browns play this year. A question for Browns fans, are they a viable #2 team for me, knowing what I go through as a Lions fan. What do you think?

Or would they just drive me crazy like the Lions do?

Go with the Bengals, like I do, so you can quit worrying about, and watching football. ?It leaves alot more time in the fall and winter months for important things, like softball.

lol, sadly I would never pick the Bengals they are the Lions of the AFC lol. Funny how I say that but the Bengals have been to a few super bowls, the Lions have hosted a few lol.

I for one am rooting for the Browns I like the way they play the way they are coached and most important my DD has a HUGE crush on Brady Quinn. and if my team can`t win I might as well root for my DD`s team. Brown`s are a good #2 uber.... and if Matt Millen does not get his act together there are a lot of Lions fans that are going to make the Browns #1 and forget the Lions

Matt Millen is 30-80 in the past 7 years, if we have a 50 game win streak that is a 3+ year winning streak he would just be .500, think about that lol.

You are correct sir....As a lion fan it really stinks to see the other big 3 in Detroit have all the people in place to be sucsessful, The lions have been bad for so many years. even when they were winning in the 90`s in was mostly because of # 20 he made everyone better on that team. The defense is like swiss cheese they are horrible .. I like the offense they have the problem is they need to be able to run the ball so it opens up the pass, when you are down by 20 points in the 2nd quarter you need to throw all the time.... very frustrating.... look at the past drafts and you do not see many defensive players that the lions drafted that are still around....I as a fan fell in to the trap again this year when they were 6 and 2 and I was all excited and then POW I took one in the face... as you can tell I am very passionate about tHe lions... not sure why maybe because no one in my family has seen the win ?The thing that really stinks is they played well earlier in the season when Fall Ball was being played and I did not get to see anything...But it is what it is.....

UJ , May want to re-think picking the Browns over the Bengals for your #2 team. At least for the time being wait until there are about two minutes left in the game to decide

Why not the Steelers with 2 former players from Ohio( including Nate Washington from T-town)?

If the Browns stop monkeying around with guys like Derek (throw another pick) Anderson they might be a good choice. They got caught in a trap with him when he had some good games. Now that the air has gone out of the season maybe the fans will see him for what he is.

Ok maybe the Browns wouldnt be a good Idea, after reading Chico's post he sounds like a Lions fan, meaning he is as frustrated as Lions fans lol, To many Steelers fans in Toledo epthunter , maybe I will go off the wall and pick like the Pats or Bolts.

Gentlemen,

There is NO OTHER TEAM. Only the CLEVELAND BROWNS. No better choice IMO. That other team down south never existed in my mind. Much like the state up north. ;D

Hardcore BROWNS FAN. Hardcore INDIANS Fan. Hardcore BUCKEYES Fan. My second team was the OAKLAND Raiders as a kid of the old AFC.

UJ - You're right to dump the Lions. As long as their ownership doesn't care about the fans or about winning they don't deserve your attention. As for the Browns... I am a life-long Browns fan and I have to tell you, there is no better feeling than when that team wins on Sunday (or Thursday or Saturday). But they will break your heart. We'll always take new fans, but beware, it's a roller coaster ride.
