Our fastest player plays CF. We have turned Four double plays from CF this year, because she can catch balls no one thinks she will then throws them out at second or first. She had a nice compliment from the Head coach of the other team in our last 18U tourney. " You center fielder is a Pest, she catches everything" Then some college coaches came up for profiles. So They recruit outfielders. If you are a lefty slapper, even better.

nothing like seeing a CF catch a fly and throw out baserunner trying to get home from third, after the 2nd runner out, they quit trying.

Not sure what point you are making but the 62 Mets were GODAWFUL! Finished 60.5 games out of first place.
