HS team is having practice outside. The local football coach letting softball and baseball use new turph football field. Creative and way to support other teams. DD loves it. Anybody else out?

There aren't many turf fields in my area. I have a feeling that if there were the football coaches would act like 5 year olds about it and say "MINE! MINE! MINE!" if anyone asked them about using "their" field.

Several turf fields in our area and almost all the baseball and softball teams get to use them. We're not so fortunate, no turf but at least our parking lot got paved so now the girls don't have to pick gravel out of their legs and bottom half's after sliding practice though...lol

No turf in our area either, but we did have practice in the school parking lot as mentioned earlier. You can really get a ball moving on infield practice, lol.

I know people want to get outside, but when you can't you can bring the team to Field of Dreams in Lancaster for indoor practice.
3 cages, a soft-toss station and multiple tees offer a multitude of hitting opportunities. Infield drills can be performed in our defense side and pitchers and catchers can get workouts in our pitching lanes.

.We do have turf fields and the football team can't stop anyone from using them as they belong to the school. Whether or not they frown on it, I don't know. But either way it doesn't matter as it's still covered in snow that I know of

DD was on the dirt last night, first scrimmage this evening.

I looked at our JV field last night, it's drains far better than the Varsity field does and it's going to be a long time before our girls are on dirt. We were supposed to go to Louisville for spring break and it got cancelled, not because of parents complaining about the price. Parents were not given the option.AD cancelled it.

Sorry to hear that, for the girls' sake. Our girls are scheduled to go to Louisville that same week. I had heard that they were looking for 2 or more Ohio teams down there.
