Looks like this Is a must tournament for those ladies looking at IVY league schools... Harvard, Cornell,Yale and U Penn.
That's because NFCA holds their Northeast Academic Camp on Wednesday before the regular camp and the showcase. Players must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and a fairly high test score (SAT 1750, ACT 26 or PSAT 175) to be admitted. See NFCA Northeast Academic Camp at Pennsbury for more info.

But you can gain entry to the camp if you haven't taken those tests. Also if you have taken the tests and don't have those results you can gain entry if the questions are answered properly. The coaches just want to make sure you can qualify since actual offers usually aren't extended until after other schools offers are out. You just have to answer the questions properly!!!

This tourney is on our list next year as a second yr 16U. Per Blue Ice's comment - this is great exposure especially for those girls wanting to pursue a potential education at an Ivy League school. My daughter & I took an unofficial visit to Cornell in April given she wants to major in engineering & Coach Blood & Farlow referenced the Pennsbury several times in the fact they have signed several players based on their exposure from this showcase.

Kavin we may have Harvard at our July 16th Combine. Looks like I should finalize today.

Yes, players can receive offers at tournaments, Pennsbury has always been very kind to us, our pitcher last year received about 6/7 offers before the start of the third game. How it works as the head coach try to go around talk to coaches etc, hand out profiles, ask them if there is anyone in particular they are looking at. As a coach there have gotten all kinds of requests, I had one coach ask me to move up a certain player n the order for the next game and to have her bunt as she wanted to get her running time from home to first, I have had several others asking certain players to play particular positions. Without question the best tournament out there for the money.

Also extremely difficult to get in as close to 300 teams apply and only about 90 get in, we have been there going on 4 years now. Always a well run tournament. I believe there was 22 states represented there as well.

Warren such a small world, finally got to meet you at a rest stop on the way home, sorry I didn't get to talk more, was trying to rush out to see my kid for fathers day. Take care.
