Personal Pitcher wiffle ball machine, Has anyone used this? The price seems to be affordable, and it has a two year warranty option. I am concerned about durability and accuracy.I'm planning on using this indoors over the winter for vision training with colored wiffle balls.

The feature I liked was that it will throw curves & drops. Also, I'm figuring I don't need such a heavy duty net ($$$) to keep wiffle balls confined to a small area as you would with real balls or dimpled balls.

I've thrown many thousand by hand, and I'm ready to give the old arm a break.

Any opinions or suggestions welcomed!!

Used to use one for warm ups when I was coaching 14U (still have it in my garage). Only real problem I saw with them at that age was that if it was a windy day there wasn't enough power to keep the pitches accurate. Indoors it worked pretty well. By 16U the girls were accurate enough to throw the wiffles to one another without having to use the machine.

TheBearMay that almost your same reply from you in 2010.. I posted it below. I've been going thru all of OFC old hard drives and have manage to Dig Thread starting from 2010 all the way back to 2004 from the old yabb forum days...

My DD has PRO version and used it quite a bit for the first couple of years. I like it for indoors, and it certainly beats throwing several hundred "pitches" yourself. Windy conditions are where this device has a problem. The height is determined by the tripod, so if you get one that adjusts easily you can pretty much eliminate that concern.

In addition to the speed the distance from the machine can simulate faster or slower pitches (reaction time).

Overall, I like it, but don't expect it to solve all your needs

I think its only use is in your garage on a rain or snowy day, better than nothing is how I'd describe it.
