The dropball is awesome. ?My DD also has a great curve-drop. ?But a great pitch is anything that changes planes, either up or down. ?I not talking an inch or so, I'm talking 3 or more if it is thrown right. ;)

It depends on which witch can pitch the witch-pitch. By the way, it's a pretty wicked pitch! ?;D

Outside fastball followed by rise curve has been very effective for my DD. I vote rise curve.

Our pitchers at 14u last year were tough with the mix of pitches and speeds. ?On any day and any team certain pitches ruled, but it is the mix. ?When I call pitches, I don't throw a straight fastball anywhere unless I absolutely have too.
One girl had an awesome drop curve, another change up, the other killer screwball. ?Was great as a coach to have such options.
Location is everything no matter what the age or pitch, sure helps working the defense when the locations are on. ?The game is not necessarily about K's but pitch count and defense.

For any pitcher 12-U or younger. Any pitch that can be thrown for a strike when needed.

Hey TBM, how do we see the results of the polls such as this one? (Thought I'd give all you other near-blind people a break on the font size)
