Thanks, Bomber and Gary! I have always heard the Lefews are excellent too. I should also mention that Sarah learned a lot from both Bill Hillhouse and Roger Black, though I know Roger is no longer coaching.
We have been with Amie for about 3 years. Have never had any reason to look elsewhere. Great job helping her students advance while keeping focus on fundamentals. Keeps the girls engaged with new drills/work outs on regular basis. We both learn something every time we go.
My daughter is young and just second year of lessons with good instructors. She was not comfortable with her first coach so we made a change, and then second coach had to return to school so we lost that connection that she really liked. After that I decided to research more and find a coach that was established who she could be with for years to come. Now she is with Yates Pitching and very happy with Don and Jimmy. She loves her coaches and believes they want the best for her which is key. It is that connection that is very important.
Aside from being young my daughter and I love Don and Jimmy as well. Excellent 1 on 1 training. No one coach coaching 3 pitchers like I've had before. I like to get full participation that I pay for from the coaches.

what I like about Amie's philosophy on SPEED is that you must constantly be striving for more.
She has two gigantic chalkboards with the 50, 55, 60, 65, and 70 mph clubs. her students get their names written under where they are and what their speed is. She will erase all the names once every two years so that the students have to jump to the next 5 mph mark to get their name back on the board! Very effective, very humbling.
I would agree with many other posters here and recommend Leffew Fastpitch. In addition to Dave and his daughter, they also have Jessica O'Conner on staff as well. Jess is a former UNLV pitcher and seems to be very good with the girls.
