Marie is a great instructor and knows how to talk to the girls in a very undad-like way. My DD has made great strides with pitching in the time she has spent with Marie. She is a good investment in the advancement of your DD's talent.

I've also heard great things about Marie. My DD's pitching instructor has nothing but nice things to say about her.

I just thought I'd pass this story on to illustrate Marie's affect on her pitchers. Our dd started with an instructor who was just out of college, and did, we thought, a wonderful job getting our dd started in pitching. She worked with her for almost 4 months on a near weekly basis. The coach had a chance to get back into pitching herself after discovering she had college eligibility remaining.
So late last winter we had to find another pitching coach. Thanks to the folks here on OFC we were able to make contact with Marie, and she took over as our dd's pitching coach.
Our dd ran into her old coach last week at an open gym. Our dd said her old coach's eyes got as wide as saucers when she saw how well she was pitching now. Her old coach was amazed at how much she had improved.
Marie doesn't wave a magic wand over her students, but she communicates very well, and energizes her students into keeping with it, and working hard.
If you're looking for a coach, at any level, you must talk with Marie.

Just curious Marie, other than being a Laser coach, what is your background in pitching ? I am not questioning you quailifications @ all, just like to know where your coming from...you know college experience, travel experience, etc...

LEH - thanks for the kind words - I really enjoyed working with your DD!!

Browns - I'm looking forward to starting with your DD - thank you!

Luv, fair question. I have pitched for over 15 years (started when I was 8 years old) and have been giving lessons for about 7 years. I pitched for elite traveling teams, attending ASA/USA nationals nearly every year I played, which included a 9th place in the nation. This was the highest place an Ohio team ever had until the Slammers. My teams also had several top 25 places. I played 4 years of varsity HS and also pitched for John Carroll University where I started as a freshman.

Thanks for info Cat, sounds like you are more than quailified and would be a great rolemodel and example for any young pitcher, not to mention you know what they are going through, good luck...DD has a similar resume and is starting to give lessons on the side....mostly for her old high school coach she enjoys it but not sure she wants to go full speed with it or not....loves the students just not sure what to do with the Parents,LOL
