? >:(Does anyone else out there who plays PONY get sick of all the mass mailings (basically junk) you get in your inbox. I warned the person at PONY that the next time it happened I would go on a forum about it.
? Today I got an email about banners for sale from last year. People PPPlease listen to me, I don`t care about anything that your orginization is selling!!! All I did is register my team with your orginization last year to play in 1 tournament, and as hard as that process was coupled with the constant junk mail I`ve received, it wasen`t worth it!! NSA and ASA don`t seem to have to do this why should you feel you do? And you people also said you would remove me from the hit list. Why hasen`t that happened? What a joke.
?On 2nd thought, go ahead and place an order for me for the boys baseball 8-9 yr old district 27 (wherever that is) champions banner for $35 before you run out!
?What a joke.
?Boy, I do feel better though. ;)

I get those, too. I just delete right away. I think they sent out something about Katrina relief not long ago.

I've sent an email, along with a copy of this post) to Don Clawson at PONY (the guy responsible for the emails).

These come out of corporate regardless of whether you signed up as a Select (Travel) team, youth league - or Baseball or Softball.

I apologize for your inconvience.

I have recieved these e-mails as well. Is there someone that we could contact to be removed from the list? Maybe if enough of us complain it will stop.

John Corrovo not sure if his name is spelled right may be the person to contact. John is a great guy. However, keep in mind PONY East is on the east coast. they have a very strong program in that area which is hard to reach out as far as Ohio. But they do with several teams including Classics attending PONY Nationals. I hope this helps with a contact person. John the last I heard was recovering from an abusive parent situation that happened during high school ball. I was unable to attend dinner with him in July when I was out in D.C. He was still in the hospital.

Thanks much

even though I have been tasked to the North Zone, which are the 12 states west and south of ohio, I'm still part of the pony family and am easy to find - and am a contact for you.

I spoke with don via email this evening and got the answer. ?The current version of the software being used doesnt have an opt-out feature. ?The company IS writing one for them so it should be resolved soon.

John Crovo is the top east zone tech guy, as well as the tech guy for Nationals. ?The email stuff comes out of corporate.
