Preseason Division I Top Ten:

Who needs the AP?

Here is the question on a lot of people's mind what is your Preseason DIVISION I top ten?

I am working on mine as we speak (this is subject to revision) but to start and (not necessarily in order so as to not to offend my fellow coaches):

More familiar with these teams:

North Canton Hoover
Elyria
Strongsville or Canfield (trying to find out more about each)
Brunswick
Hudson

Now working my way south .............

Pickerington
Mason
Grove City
Thomas Worthington
TBA?

Your thoughts..........?

The OCC Central Conference should be well represented:

Westerville Central
Marysville
Thomas Worthington
Pickerington North

With Delaware Hayes and Central Crossing also in the conference you better not have an off day.

You for sure had the right 4 NWO teams on there for D-1, AW, Springfield, SUA and Clay should all be very good.

Greenville back in D1 this year. I think that they held the number one spot at some point during each season between 2002 / 2003 / 2004 and they held the number one spot in DII for the past two seasons. I have a feeling that they will show up in there somewhere.

However I do think that the state title is North Canton Hoovers to lose. They are LOADED.

In central Ohio in addition to all the teams mentioned above, you definitely have to consider Gahanna, and I also think Hilliard Darby should be in really good shape this year. And they haven't been mentioned much, but Upper Arlington also could get into the top 10, as they have pitching and plenty of hitting this year. And you know Hilliard Davidson is going to contend with Angelo, like they do every year.

I'd be curious to be able to pull up the same poll at the end of the year from the archives to see how close it actually was..
