Not as high as it used to, but she enjoys it a lot more now and is performing better now that it is not all-consuming. Go Figure!

I am not sure about the dd list but my list is family, kids grades, work and softball. Mine know if they bring home a c on the report card that all activities are off until the c becomes a b or better. Have not had to enforce this rule yet and I hope I do not ever have to. They think I am mean but hopefully they will understand one day and say thank you in the end.

Danger 12U,

I think your children will think you are smater and smarter as they get older and older--you will know you had an impact when they start parroting back your phrases to you.

I hope you are right Bob, right now it can be a little rough at times but not real bad. They are pretty good kids so far - lol. They are getting to that age though, I have one that has the sweet sixteen birthday today, man I am getting old!!!!!!!

I would have to say Family & church, grades then softball. Grades only beat softball becoz she knows they have to stay up there for scholarship opportunities.

Thats kinda funny about the pitcher avatar phil.......pitchers are a different bread i guess......my dd's priorty is.....well....FOOD, then MORE FOOD, then to DQ for dessert, then it would be her grades grades grades, then softball.......did I mention FOOD....lol, If I could just get her to unload the dishwasher once in a while...that would be nice.

LOL, FPDad. When dd was learning to talk, our oldest was a freshman at OSU. Consequently we made the trip down I-71 frequently. Everytime we came through Mansfield, we dropped down into a valley that had an interchange -- I think it was with Route 13/ 250? -- and it is loaded with fast food restaurants. The baby girl would see the Golden Arches and scream, "Fries!!! Fies!!" Her volcabulary was that and about 3 other words at the time. We took to calling that exit Hannah's Happy Valley. My wife and I still time any trip between the moment we get in the car and the first time we hear her saying, "I'm hungry."

If the parents have done there job it should be Faith Family School Social then softball. But through softball experience many life lessons are taught. And that is the road to where we ultimately have to go down. So i say work your tail off make lots of friends and have tons of fun. Life is great enjoy!!!!

Both of my girls have turned a corner. I would honestly have to rank it Faith, Family, Softball, Friends for them... something clicked with them this fall/winter (Bekah is 11, Alli 14) - they are ate up with improving their skills. We go to the Hawks HIT center 4-5 times a week to hit and do infield .. and they want to go. Sometimes I have to drag myself off the couch to take them, but I can't complain it is a softball dad's dream.

I wish I knew what was motivating them, Alli wants to play college ball bad, that has to be hers, but little sis Bekah - I have no idea. What scares me is that they might turn it off just as fast - I am trying to keep workouts lighter, less intense more 'fun' for them... maybe that is it.

Maybe that is it! We just got back from hitting and I noticed every time we go hit as soon as we are in the car on the way home it is WENDY'S DAD!!! Maybe it is the eating after that fires them up... LOL
