Racers-Williams '05 is trying to finalize its roster. We will be holding private tryouts for pitchers at Gracie field in Rootstown. We have a solid core of 10 players currently (2 pitchers). Our goal is to make these girls the best HS players we can, see if we can get some to college, and most importantly have fun while we're getting there! We are a family first team. We have multiple players that have been with our team since 10u.
Our Fall & Winter program includes hitting practices (tee work & cages) defensive technique instruction, pitchers/catcher workouts and training with Tracee McCoy until the HS season starts. This is on a voluntary basis as we have many multiple sport athletes. We will workout in the field house at Gracie Field in Rootstown when weather doesn't allow us to be outside.
We will be planning on approximately 1-2 fall tournament, 6-7 summer tournaments. Most will be local (Northeast Ohio), with one over night tournament, most likely the World Series in Columbus.
