DENISON, TX -- After being shut out Feb. 20 in the first game, 11-0, the Kilgore College Rangers rebounded by surviving a late four-run fifth inning rally to defeat Grayson College, 9-5.
In the first inning, KC got its offense started when Kendyl Dockter homered on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.
KC put up five runs in the fourth inning with singles by Dockter, Makenna Bell, Shelby East and a double by Lauren Corley.
Mattie McQuary earned the win for KC, allowing only six hits and four runs over four and a third innings.
