our 11am game is scheduled for 4pm. Here is a tip for standing water , it works every time----takes about 1 min per mud hole. Take a shovel into the middle of hole, take out about 2 spades full of earth out of the hole, water will immediately collect , take 32 oz cup or larger and dip water out of hole into 5 gallon bucket. Takes no time to empty standing water . If this would have been done between 6 and 8am this am, I'd guess the mess would not be quite so bad. But i'm stuck at work for 3 more hours . Wife said fields were a mess. Hope we get to play allnight, I promise I won't complain MD

I heard that they were gonna shorten the games, so the delays won't exactly be hour for hour based on when they start. No idea if that will be posted on their site or not.

Just spoke with our head coach who is at the park. He said that the diamonds are still very wet.

He said the TD and NSA chief were going to evaluate the fields and make a decision on what they are going to do.

He said things were very confusing at the site.

They said they would update the website as soon as they decide what they are going to do. For what that is worth.

I'm not at this tournament but if 1 volunter from each team went to the fields then we would have 100+ to help get the fields ready. That would be almost 6 per field.

If I was in Cincy I would be at the fields helping anyway I could.

All games from Friday were cancelled.
So far all games from Saturday are delayed.
Waiting for word from Tealtown on what they are doing.

My DD said they just drove by the fields and no one is working on them. She said some fields are still under water and to top it off it has been cloudy all day and sprinkling at times.

It does not look good.

May be they can all drive to Toledo it is the best weekend it has been all summer.

I just heard that the NSA State is going to be a 1 and out tournament. Does that mean that we paid $300 for 1 game? That is NOT right. Shouldn't NSA pro-rate some of the money back to these teams? Hey, it's not our fault that Tealtown does not have good drainage system. Maybe they should invest for next time if there will be a next time.

I don't want to think that we would lose our first game- but who knows. That really is not fair to all teams involved. I am so furious with this whole tournament.

Does anyone know what is going on down there? I'm sitting here trying to decide if I need to make the hour and a half drive or not. How hard is it to at least update the web site on time (3PM) and let people know? They have to know by now how many fields are playable.

How can the Express Way Tournament and a baseball tournament 5 miles east of Tealtown be running and only 2 fields at Tealtown be up and running? This is just very disappointing to all us, especially that all of our 10U team is just playing the waiting game for a 1 game guarantee? I understand that you cannot control Mother Nature, but you can control how to decide whether this tournament should continue or not. All of us just paid for 2 nights of hotel and now we are hearing that the 10U and 12U teams are not even playing today!!! These 10 year olds need to be released with a team refund or someone from NSA or Tealtown can come explain to some 10 years olds what is going on and a little communication would be nice.

Unbelievable weather this summer so far. Both ASA states and National Qualifier were affected. Now NSA can't even really get going. Really too bad - I noticed that Elyria SunDogs were entered in the 18-U. Didn't they qualify for ASA Nationals too? Which are they going to play in? or maybe both?
