Central Ohio Ice 00 took 3rd place in the 1st place Gold bracket. Lost to Valley Storm in 9 innings. I know VS was going to play Outlaws in Championship game.

Not being smart or anything like it , but I cant tell a thing about these pools and who actually won what . I see 1st place brackets , 2nd place pool brackets , Platinum division , 3rd place brackets . Did everyone win something in this one ?

Thats funny! What they do is you play 3 pool play games within a pool of 4 teams. All the number 1 seeds play each other in a bracket Tournamnet, all number 2 seeds play each other, all number 3 seeds play each other and all the number 4 seeds play each other.

Wasn’t sure how I would like it but it makes pool play games much more important so that you play the best competition in bracket.

Overall winner of the tournament has to come out of the Gold brack which I believe was Wolfpack Dudek

Don’t know who won, but our last game the infield ump was the most vindictive I’ve ever seen! Coach questioned one call and that was that. Our pitcher even got thrown out for tagging a runner out! Nothing aggressive at all, no hard hit no forearms thrown just a tag, but the ump was mad I guess. He was even saying things about the coach loudly enough for the infield players to hear. Very disappointing officiating

In 14u there were 48 teams with 12 pools of 4 teams each. Each team played three pool games. After pool play there were 12 #1 seeds placed in a Bracket. There were 12 #2 seeds placed in a Bracket, 12 #3 seeds in a bracket and 12 #4 seeds in a bracket. So basically all the #1 seeds played each other, the #2 seeds played each other, #3 seeds played each other and #4 seeds played each other in their respective brackets.

If you lost your first bracket game you played one more additional game that was a consolation game. If you won your first bracket game you kept playing till you lost.

Winners of #1 seed Bracket was Louisville Lady Sluggers - Zuege over WV Dusters 8-0.

In 16u there were 24 teams in each bracket (total of 96 teams)

Think brackets were called

Gold (all number 1 seeds)
Bronze (all number 2 seeds)
Silver (all number 3 seeds)
Sapphire (all number 4 seeds)

Yep! the complete opposite of what GAPSS did. I'm not sure a college coach would care which bracket you are playing in but I've seen a lot more coaches in a super pool environment versus non. If you have to win all of your pool games to ensure you play the best competition then I think you put the "showcase" aspect in jeopardy in PP.
