This was a great game and both teams played very well. Definately a pitchers duel and in the end they both factored in offensively as well.

For Urbana their only run came on a 1st inning opposite field HR off the bat of Pitzenbarger. Greenville scored their runs in the 3rd as K. Martin just missed hitting a 2 run shot. That tied the game then then in the 4th Greenville scored the deciding run on a Fisherback single.

Again both teams played great as it should be in a regional final. Congrats to Urbana on an awesome season.

Greenville's record now 30-3 on the season. I think thats the 3rd time in 4 years that Greenville has recorded 30 wins or more.

"DiDomenico was pitching for the Spartans. She had a 2-0 in the bottom of the 7th and had a one hitter going until the Panthers rallied. Abbey Fillez started the inning with a single. Then Morgan McLaughlin popped up between the mound and first, but with miscommunication in the infield and a high sun, the ball dropped, but Boardman still had a chance to get Fillez running to second, but an errant throw went into left field making both runners safe. DiDomenico then struck out a batter and Perry's Anna Fach followed with a single, loading the bases. Shelbi Tilton then hit a double to the gap that cleared the bases for the Panthers win."
